Community Involvement at home and abroad...

Lake Wylie Pediatric Dentistry believes firmly in supporting our local community, with an emphasis on educating our youth alongside our local schools. In addition, we value that school and after-school-programs need local business to ensure supportive environments for our children. Through engaging with the Clover School District, we hope to educate children from a young age on the importance of healthy dietary choices and home hygiene habits that will impact them for their lifetime. We see firsthand the detriment dental decay has in students missing valuable school and adults missing work. We want to do our part in educating our community on how to prevent this prevalent disease process. In addition, by supporting local youth organizations, like the D2 Blue Eagles, ROAR Sports, and Lake Wylie Athletic Association we want to see our community's children learning foundational lessons such as hard work, perseverance and teamwork.

Beyond our local community, Lake Wylie Pediatric Dentistry firmly believes in using our gifts and talents to serve others on a global scale. Dr. Ryan Colosi has been fortunate enough to serve people in Honduras, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kenya and the Dominican Republic. Our aim is to serve children on a global scale at least once a year, and to bring those stories and pictures back with us to share with the families and children in our community. In teaching them about the needs in other cultures we hope to inform our own youth on the wonderful opportunities afforded to them here in the United States and educate them on how they too can use their lives to make a difference.
